The English captured a 74-gun warship from their enemy-the French and copied the lines and this began a new line of their warships- the 74 gun, ideal combination of speed, maneuverability and gun power. The Bellona was one of the first of her kind and the kit very accurately reproduces the original. TOTALLY MAGNIFICENT KIT! And as a very helpful EXTRA is the mint condition book of The Anatomy of the Ship of the Bellona, a great volume of detail to understand and enhance your ship. Author is the outstanding Brian Lavery. Ship has everything, high quality materials, including photoetching. Finished ship is not massive and oversized for the average home and ship case with a length just over 30". This is a treasure up for sale only because I was a glutton and obtained more kits than I can fiinish in my lifetime. Sort of specializing in Dutch and Hanseatic Ships so here is a great opportunity for someone! And it is always nice to by a kit from a shipmodeler! And it is no longer available retail!
